Secondary Data Collection & Analysis
PAER™ has extensive experience performing research involving collection, reconfiguration, and analysis of existing data. We have performed numerous studies that entailed extracting data from hardcopy case files to create databases conducive to analysis. In addition to configuring databases from non-digitized information, we have exported data contained in organizational databases into analytical software programs.
Examples of past projects of this kind include the following:
- Data were systematically extracted from hardcopy case files, entered into a database, and analyzed to evaluate the relative impact of different domestic violence treatment programs.
- Data were systematically extracted from investigative case files, entered into a custom-designed software program, and then analyzed to evaluate the quality and completeness of the investigations.
