Learning Assessment and Program Review Planning Assistance
PAER™ has extensive experience assisting educational institutions in developing and implementing university-wide processes to ensure their academic and co-curricular programs assess their performance.
We help universities and colleges design and implement annual learning assessment and program review protocols that are in accord with accreditation requirements set forth by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and emerging American Bar Association (ABA) guidance.
We work with academic and non-academic program directors to help them define their goals in measurable terms, identify appropriate data collection methods, perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis, display analyses graphically, interpret results, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
We have helped educational institutions structure their assessment processes using semi-standardized forms and reporting procedures. Faculty have generally welcomed this approach as it lessens their time commitment to assessment and alleviates uncertainty as to the type of documentation they must provide.
The templates shown below can be modified to accommodate the priorities and capabilities of an institution. The forms can be completed by program managers and emailed to an assessment manager or can be posted in a centralized software platform. By collecting information on assessment methods and findings in a semi-standardized format, an assessment manager is equipped to make accurate claims about the scope, breadth, and quality of the institution's assessment work to accrediting bodies such as WASC.
