Depth Interviews
PAER™ has significant experience conducting individual interviews and has gathered interview data from a wide range of populations. For example, we have interviewed undergraduate and graduate students at state schools and Ivy League institutions, faculty, scientists, Systems Administrators at Fortune 500 companies, and senior government officials. We craft interview protocols around well-defined research objectives and pilot-test instruments prior to administration. We are detail-oriented and thorough, adhering to established research practices at all stages of a study to ensure high data quality.
Examples of past individual interview projects include the following:
- Semi-structured individual interviews were conducted with Systems Administrators at Fortune 500 companies in the Bay Area in a concept-testing study to identify preferred characteristics of a new server technology.
- Telephone interviews were conducted with students of a small private university who had dropped out of college, to identify factors that influenced their decision to discontinue in their degree programs.
